Old Stoney was built in 1892 to serve as the High School. In 1922, a fire broke out leaving only the stone shell. It was rebuilt in 1925, two years after the construction of Riley School and three years before Kyger School. It remained the High School until 1962. From 1962 to 1974, it was used as part of the Jr. High School. Now Old Stoney is used as the Frankfort City Building and Clinton County Historical Museum. The museum is a "Must See" for residents and visitors of Frankfort.
